LeopardEye ? A WildTiger Initiative Supported by Pro?s Choice

In order to achieve this goal, we have partnered with WildTiger, an organisation that provides wildlife conservation solutions throughout the globe, including their most recent project, LeopardEye. Read on to discover more about this great initiative and how you can get involved.
What is LeopardEye?
LeopardEye is a WildTiger initiative, providing invaluable data about wildlife conservation. The project has a wide range of applications, including the tracking of conflict animals such as near-extinct tigers and leopards and the prevention of poaching in illegal areas.
The project uses non-invasive strategy, which means that the animals live as ?normal? a life as possible. Through scientific research and technology, WildTiger are able to monitor the comings and goings of animals and ensure the survival of their species.
One of the key parts of the project involve the use of remote trail cameras, supplied by Pro?s Choice. Each camera is able to talk to the other, creating a daisy chain of activity. This data is sent back to a base station through cellular (3G/4G) technology and closely monitored by WildTiger. So far, LeopardEye has played a pivotal role in the arrests and convictions of people involved in environmental crime.
Who are WildTiger?
Founded in 2007, WildTiger has undergone significant changes over the past decade. Initially created as a vehicle for environmental research, they quickly moved into project development. By 2013, they became a private sector organisation under the full name WildTiger Conservation Research and Development. Their aim is to connect with dynamic partners both in private and public sectors in order to get their message out to as many people as possible.
Pro?s Choice assists WildTiger by donating technology resources, such as the trail cameras for LeopardEye in order to assist them with both their groundwork and their research. Together, we are committed to a better future for near-extinct wildlife, such as leopards and tigers in Nepal and surrounding countries.
