How to format a memory card? Formatting a memory card is always recommended after downloading pictures. You can insert your memory card into the computer or memory card reader, then you would right click on the mapped drive on the memory card and click on a formatting option, this can also be done by the most trail camera’s giving you this option as seen in manual.
Flash light vs Infrared Flash The differences of incandescent flash, infrared flash and "infrared covert" trail cameras and recommended use?
Incandescent trail cameras create a "white flash" when taking a picture at night, like any normal digital camera’s flash. Incandescent camera takes higher quality night photos that are in colour, this will be seen by an intruder or animal.
Infrared cameras do not create a white flash but instead the infrared emitters a faint red glow when taking a picture at night. As faint as it is, it still can be seen if looked at directly.
Infrared Covert trail cameras create no visible light when taking a picture at night. This would be recommended for catching those animals that are easy to scare or those intruders that are aware of the surroundings.
I see some sort of ring in front of my lens for my scoutguard and Ltl Acorn camera? This is completely normal, it does move around when not in use, once camera is in action is snaps into action, this monochromatic which helps takes pictures depending on if its day or night.

How to determine if the trail camera can cover the 3G/4G/LTE frequency in my area? Trail cameras work on any 3G/4G/LTE sim card, as long as these frequencies are covered by one of the following 850mhz, 900mhz, 1800mhz,1900mhz,2100mhz if you are unsure, call your carrier/operator and provide them with your post code and ask what frequencies are available in your area.
-Infrared Trail Security cameras: This means it has motion sensor with PIR technology (PIR standing for passive infrared) to determine when something or someone is moving.
-Wireless Security Trail Cameras: These cameras can function via Wi-Fi when used with eye-fi mobi memory card, allowing the camera to act as a hotspot and you can receive the pictures from it, making it cost effective.
-Cellular Mobile Security Trail MMS cameras: Using pre-paid sim card you can send SMS commands to control your device to take and send pictures using MMS or GPRS.
How do I know the functions of the camera? There are 4 functions to the camera Function 1 (Normal Mode): Normal mode, takes photos and stores them into SDHC card. Function 2 (SMS Mode): SMS mode takes photos and send you SMS alert saying some intruders or animals has been captured. Function 3 (MMS Mode): takes photos, keeps one in SDHC, and send one to MMS (pictures) to mobile or email. Function 4 (GPRS Mode): takes photos - stores them into SDHC and email you using sim card data quota, using GPRS technology.
